New planted Nano

First tank in 10 years, just checking what works before I start a new, 5ft African themed, planted tank.

 

Beautiful tank! A 5ft will look stunning built along those lines.

What the stocking ideas? Congo tetras?

 

Hey Luke, if you check my profile you will see a 6ft West African biotope I did many years ago.
Basically I’ll recreate that, but better.
Maybe congos, bush fish, some endemic barbs, indigenous shrimp, maybe Gnatjonemus. I’d love butterfly fish again but this tank will be open, so no go..

Im lucky space doesnt allow it because that really inspired a bigger tank again lol

 

Yeah I’ve been waiting over a decade
New tank isn’t as imposing but it’s around 500L.
It’s a rebuild project like the old one, I’ll start another thread of the renovation etc once I get going.
