I dont really post on Facebook as I work such erratic hours most of the time that I dont even get to update my threads here as often as I would like to

@MariaS does post every now and then though, on TASA Facebook page and I think another one or two places as we are in this together

If there is anything you would like to know you welcome to ask

Sorry been a bit slow on updates but just when you think life has slowed down a bit, it gets hectic again

Have finished all my plumbing over the last two or three weekends and this week I have been adding he PFS and some hard scape a bit at a time at night

The sump compartment with the air stones will be filled with K1 media, just need to rinse it out first

Aiming at stating to slowly test fill tomorrow evening.
Will do it slowly a bit at a time over the weekend

Here are some pictures for now, hope you enjoy them

Looks stunning, good luck with the fill.

Is that a bio reactor in the sump?

    man that is epic
filter looks good enough to clean water for the whole neighbourhood
Is the ultrazap an uv filter or inline heater?

    Thanks @Reedfish

    Yes.. you so right!!

Aiming at filling completely over this weekend and running everything for the week.. I get home too late to do anything like moving fish etc during the week but, it will also give me peace of mind that all is ok
Then next Saturday will tackle the big set up and move

    Thanks @top dog

Hahha.. the filter must do just that!!!
Some big fish going in there!

The ultrazap is a UV light/sterilizer, we run them on all the tanks

    Thamk you @David Kusner

Yes... it is stressful.... hoping all goes well but I wont lie.... it is very exciting...
Just cant wait to be able to transfer my kids across

The white diffuser material is egg crate, as its also called
I think you can get it at some lighting stores and maybe even Builders
I got mine from Wazeer's in Boksburg, he sells full sheets or cuts up for you whatever size you need
I usually buy a big sheet and just us it as I need as I use it to lift the media off the floor in the sumps as well, for better water circulation, to make covers for the overflows if there are smaller fish in the tanks... always comes in handy

    So... time for an update....

Friday night I held my breath and started test filling.... filled to about a quarter....

Added some rocks and a bit more wood

Saturday morning all looked ok so I filled about another quarter..
All was ok last night so I took it to just over half full..

Late this morning... I took the last step and filled he to the top.... Touch wood.. so far., so good
I have no bowing and everything is looking good

I added all the new media to the sump, the old media I will only add back when I transfer fish across, for now Im leaving it in the existing sumps to keep it healthy and alive
I have switched on the sump and my air stone and my heaters to start heating her up
Im going to let it stand with everything running for the week and if all good by Saturday morning, I will start with the move.

I usually do water change on my other 4000l on a Saturday morning so.. will drain this one about 70% and pump it back full with water from my existing tank.

I will then bring all the old media which we managed to spread amongst all the other sumps to this tank and stat with Stability as well.
I will be ok to start moving fish Saturday/ Sunday but will probably first move all the other fish that were also with the rays in my old tank and must also go in this tank now and keep back moving my rays a couple days while dosing with Stability and letting everything settle again

    Here are some pictures

    First quarter full

And ... its full..... and running.....

Now we test her for a few days....
