    Thannks @top dog

    Thanks @Reedfish

I have to say Im very chuffed with that airstone

I was a little worried it would be too big and not work too well but its working beautifully and I also like the effect very much

    Hi Everyone..

Yew... I think this update is a bt overdue but... moving fish over a bit at a time and ensuring everything stays stable has been a slow process over the last two or three weekends that has really kept my hands full

More or less three weeks ago I started by moving some of my cichlids across..... the following weekend I moved a few more of the cichlids, my Cigar shark and the catfish.
Couple days later the two smaller Black Diamond stingrays that were in the grow out tank.
One is a female but too young for the males to harass so she is safe here for now
And finally this weekend, I moved the adult Mini Marble male and Mantilla across

I also then brought the Mommy of the last litter back from @MariaS's tank to my other tank with the big girls and i moved the adult male Black Diamomd to Maria'a tank with the other big girls and see if he does what he needs to do there

So far, touch wood all has gone well and all the fish are happy
I had all the media from the old tank which I use.
I also added a total of a 2 liter bottle plus a 500ml bottle of Stability over a two week period.
I am now done with the Stability and back to routine water changes and have now connected my UV light/sterilizer as well soI think Im good

I will see how it goes, but if all continues to go well, I will move the young Arowana across this weekend as the grow out tank I have had he in is now getting to small for her.

    So... here are some pictures..

    Thanks!!

Hahha.. might not look like it but there are quite a lot of fish in there!!
And they will all get quite big!!
The Blue base gold must still go in there and she will get to about 50cm
My 2 ripsaw and Giraffe catfish get fairly big...
There will be at least two more male rays going in three and those cichlids will grow too..

    Thanks @top dog ,

    Yes they are friedrichsthalii...

Mark, so far.. no... but, they havent been with the rays long enough for me to be sure and say to just anyone that its ok.

What happened, I have been after the Pearsei cichlids for 3 or 4 years... no one keeps them
They have a reputation with ray keepers to be very mild mannered like severums and geos
When we ordered the Aros, just out the blue.. the supplier had them and i ordered but at same time, Mo went to Singapore and i had asked him to find me something nice and he came back with this pair of friedrichsthalii....which I not only fell in love with but also felt obliged to take as I had asked for something nice...
Did some homework and they say that they are the mildest mannered of the species.. so... Im giving it a go.

They have been with the rays for three weeks now and believe it o not, spawned two days after they were introduced to this tank
They did try to guard their eggs but didnt cause havoc in the tank at all, just stayed in the corner that you see in the picture
Needless to say the eggs didnt last.... and at moment they swimming all over with everyone without problems but we must also keep in mind the size of the tank
In smaller space.. i would probably not even have tried

So.. this is what I can tell you so far..
At this stage, I would never recommend to anyone especially a beginner ( no offense meant to anyone) and small rays and smaller tank that its ok...

Most of the rays in there are adult males except for the BD girl but she is a brat, so although they dont harm anyone in terms of aggression, their size is a bit intimidating to the other fish.
I will monitor how it goes and hope for the best.. if i see any signs of trouble, i will move them but im hopping it works

He is gorgeous and settled in nicely by me but trust me I wont be scoring him Haha
Think Cesar wants to put the Aro in first and let her settle couple days and then take the gar up
