New Strain of Black Flowerhorns

There is a new strain of Flowerhorn that is entirely or mostly black. Jing Chan and I got an older juvenile about 4 months ago. At the time it was dark purple with a large beige kok. Since then it has has reached maturity and turned solid black. There was a report of a similar fish by Dustabusta in 2007, and Anthony Tu showed a picture of one on a chart on most desirable Flowerhorns in Saigon, Vietnam at the K2 convention. I an runnig a blog on this fish on Monsterfishkeepers. Anyone who has info on them at all please contact me here or there.

It has been suggested that are bred from Cuban cichlid ancestors rather than Vieja.
