    Hi all

After an absence of about 15 years I have taken the plunge again and invested in a new aquarium for my office. Wow!! I was amazed at the radical changes in the technology applied and what was available out there since I had my last tank... Also amazed and very happy to see there iss such an active community on the web!

I worked in a pet shop's fish department as a schoolboy at had at one stage about 8 tanks going. Varsity put an end to it off course. I bred some cichlids back then and enjoyed rearing my own live food (dapnia, artemia, bloddworms and the mozzy larvaes breeding out in the back yard).

I have now bought a 180 Juwel setup and received some great advice from the guys at Dory in Centurion. (Thanks Ryno for all the help and advice so far!) The back of my mind is aalso allready scheming howw to rearange the workroom to create space for some more...!! The new setup is busy curing currently.

I intend a planted tank with community fish (thinking of Cardinals/Neons, Harelequins, Cherry barbs, a Ram or two and some catfish) - ANY HELP AND ADVICE WILL BE GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!

Time does not allow me to spend hours every day on forums and websites as I run my own businesses, but I will try and make some time.

I also prefer a good hardcover book on a topic above browsing websites - any good up-to-date books out there that can get me back up to speed on the newest developments/trends etc?

    Regards
    Francois

Hi and welcome. Please post a picture of the tank when you got some time. Also tell us about the substrate you are using. Not sure about books out there. There is a publication I think called the fish keeper. They are on this forum. Very nice publication.
