nitrates in pond?

hi guys. in my small pond, im not doing big water changes.

im running a small aquaponics setup, and have pond plants and floating plants. i sometimes also find dead worms and bugs but leave them, food for the single gold fish, which is almost 10 cm long now.

Just did a topup of 40 liters, and did a water test.

Amonia 0
nitrites 0
nitrates hardly changed colour
Gh was normal
Ph 7.2

i use a bucket of water every day from the pond to water my plants, and replace the pond water again.

And when my level runs low i do a top up, with a cap of prime.

i was actually very surprised with the water quality, as i dont do much maintanance.

now i know why they say fish always do better in ponds.
