I need advise regarding light fixture. I will be getting two of these LEDs.

I want to know if anyone has done this using pvc? will it be able to hold the weight of light leds. Will be a mission to get behind the stand but should be worth if the pvc can hold the lights

Alternatively I will be hanging it from the ceiling using cutter thread (gut). My concern is to get it level and not hanging to one side due to the power cord hanging down on one end

I want the fixture to be minimalist and clean

I think pvc will bend unless you going for some thick stuff

Yea agreed. PVC will bend. And if not now it will bend over time, seen that happen multiple times.

Why not just do it with steel tubing?

I use to buy loads of pipes, we have a tire repair shop/exhaust fitment shop close to us and I just took it to them to bend it.

Or if you dont want to go with steel, check out KingofDIY on youtube, he made some light holders that attach to the wall. Using wood and those 90 degree brackets you use for shelves.

The issue I have with steel is getting it bend.

I had wooden beams 2x2s but it will cause the stand to stand too far forward.

Should be a shop that can bend it close by.

And with the wood, there is nothing going behind your stand. So it can still be flush with the wall.

You take the 90 degree bracket and drill that in to the wall, you then drill the other side of the 90 degree to the wood and attach it. Lemme get a pic

Awesome, I have seen this and this is the second choice with the gut to suspend the light

In your case you dont even have to suspend it with gut.

The wood doesn’t have to come out straight like his, you can run in parallel to the wall and attach the lights directly.

This makes sense yes. I can make a shelf on top of the tank. Should be easy with L-brackets

    Thank you

Whatever would work best for you.

But I would definitely go with steel or this idea compared to PVC thats going to give you trouble over time or look unsightly because you have to use such a bulky piece.
