    Hey..
My blue parrots are kissing/fighting. Are they going to hurt each other? I really need some help.

    Hi Tracey

This is hard to tell without a video for reference. With many south American cichlids they do a kissing like behaviour before spawning. If you have a pair then chances are they are trying to spawn. I would still monitor then though to make sure it does not turn into full on aggression

Thank you so much for your response. They don't seem to be heavy aggressive so I'm assuming its for breeding.
I will keep an eye on them, also want to put in some tubing for them to feel more comfortable.

    You're welcome.
You have pics? Maybe can help identify them and confirm from there

Hi Shabir, here are the photos of fish Tracey discussed. Any info you can give us will be helpful, the internet doesnt seem to have much about them.

To be honest they were not hard to keep and I kept them with African cichlids (I learnt later that I shouldn't) but they held their own and was great fish to have

Shabir. Thank you for the response. We have a male and female, they bully the other two polar blue parrots. Will this stop or do we need to get them in a different tank? And do you know more or less how big they can get?

In a big enough tank they should be able to be okay together but if you're really trying to breed them I will say separate them so they spawn instead of trying to defend territory.

Mine were about 6cm but I believe they can grow much larger than that. In my friend's tank they grew to about 10cm but that's my estimate.

How big is your tank and do you have enough hiding places?
