Week 2 without a water change, will see what happens on week 3. But if it stays mellow yellow I see no reason to do a water change.

Build a small platform for my canister filter so I could raise it closer to the tank decreasing the head height and hose length. And by the looks of it I got a increase in flow:

Haven't done a proper update in a while, full tank shot seems most of my algae issues are dead and gone now most likely due too the MTS I introduced into the tank:

Planted some Amazon Swords and so far he hasn't decided to take a bite out of them so holding thumbs:

Installed some extra filtration in the form of a Dophin C500 canister filter and so far so good:

The Chinese Bamboo and Lillies are still doing well but growth has slowed down due to winter I am guessing:

Roots are still growing all over the place though:

Apparently, they grow huge so placing at the back right-hand side. Apparently, they aren't very demanding so we will see.

Man did I have ever a battle to get these things planted. They are round bulbs with no roots yet and cannot be buried in the sand. They need one-third exposed at least, plus they float...

So I built them cages out of wooden skewers/cable ties/silicon and bolts for weights, looks like garbage but if it works it works. Will keep it like that for a few months till they put down roots.
