    Hi,

    I have 2 tanks, 50l with about 10 cherry shrimp, 5 x-ray tetras, 1 cory and 1 apple snail.
    100l with 8 shubunkin, 2 corys, 1 pleco and 3 apple snails.

What would you recommend for water changes in the 2 tanks in terms of how much and how often?

Had some shrimp dying lately so im concerned about it.

Currently I do 10% every Tuesday in both tanks.

Too much, too little? I don’t know
    Still new at fishing

    Thanks guys

    Hi Tiaanctaljaard.

I can't really tell you if that is right or not but I can tell you what I do with my fish tanks.
I change water between 15%-20% every Sunday, but also I have a lot more fishes in each
tank and they are 3ft tanks. I have shrimp only 1.5ft tanks and do the same on 15%-20% water
changes and don't see often that fish or shrimps die on me. I have noticed my shrimps breed more
    this way though.

Because your shrimps is with some fish especially X-ray's they might get stressed if you don't
have enough hiding space for them.

Also when you do water changes is it aged water or direct tap water? If it is direct tap water
just check the Chlorine and Chloramine of the water. It can harm your fish and shrimps.

This is just my experience and opinion of what I have notice throughout this past
year, but I'm also learning every day.

Hi, and welcome to the Forum

    Shubunkins get up to 20cm.
And Common Plecos also get big - 50cm wouldn't be unusual
A 100L tank for all this is way too small.
And these fish are also very messy and produce a lot of waste.
If possible, take them back to the fish shop to swap for something more appropriate or upgrade the tank

Don't mean to be rude, but one has to do proper research when it comes to fish keeping.
The fish being kept need a decent sized tank and healthy water conditions

Having said all that, I would do a 50% water chance once, if not twice a week.

I usually do around 30% every week with my tanks. I use safe and add tap water slowly back into the tank

X-Ray tetra will eat your cherry shrimp brother.
Cory's and goldfish are not friends.
    25% weekly with that stocking.
