Red Shoulder Severum.

    Yes same fish
    As far as I know, The correct name is Severums but they also known as deacons

    Collected my Red Shoulder Severums on the weekend. They're in really good condition and I was lucky enough to get a male and female.

    Congrats!!! Very nice...
    Glad that you could get male and female.

    I suppose the pictures were shortly after you got them, in another day or two the red band over the shoulder will go redder.

    Thanks! Yes, about 24 hours after introduction @MariaS. They're only about 7,5 cm, so I assume they still need to grow into their colour?

    Yes, they will develop their colours as they grow but in the next few days/week as they settle in, they will already start showing some of their red colour on the shoulder and their bottom fin.
    All my severums except the reds, are strange little buggers.. they actually change colour often according to their mood!

    That very blue one I posted the picture, sometimes if he is cross he is almost black. They gorgeous, Im sure you will enjoy them

    Thanks Maria. Yes, I enjoy them already. They remind me of marine angelfish, with their unhurried and relaxed way of swimming about. Even their body shape is similar to the dwarf angels (centropyges).
