You feed your shrimp with it? Does it not make the water more acidic? I live on Middelburg MP and our tap water (while very clean) is very acidic @6.4 (sometimes lower) so I am very careful with things that might lower it even more.

Advice on natural stable ways to lift it?

I don't feed the shrimp Rooibos tea, although they love grazing on it.
My shrimp tanks all have Almond Leaves in them, and other tanks where I use Rooibos have community fish together with shrimp.
Predation on the shrimp occurs, which keeps their numbers in check slightly, although all the tanks also have Susswassertang walls in them, which the shrimp use to hide and breed in.

I have never found there to be any major differences in pH values whether using Rooibos, Almond leaf or not.
A difference of 0.1 pH points is not going to make that much of a difference in my opinion.

Giving it a go! I hope it'll do more good than harm... 1 bag in a 95l is ok right? I didn't brew it first (it's a brand new bag) and.. How long should it stay in? How much is too much? e3b14cea29d5791e7ddc0eab8789914f.jpg

3 rooibos tea bags is fine for 95L. The water wil become brown but it's very healthy for fish. Remove after 3 days

That looks great! Any thoughts on it helping guppies and shrimp (I've got hard water so I'm going the tea will help ease the molting) I'm not too concerned about my guppies though they're all healthy.

You can safely leave the teabag in the tank for 24 hours.
After about 36 - 48 hours the teabags may tear, spilling loose tea into the tank.
I normally remove the teabags after 24 - 48 hours.

1 teabag gives a 45L tank a light yellowish colour, while 2 bags give it a nice medium tannin colour.

My LFS doesn't keep it (they didn't even know what it is!) regardless I can't seem to find an online source (not sure if it's labeled as something else?)
