Rookie Q about Co2 diffusers

Hi all. What size diffuser will you recommend for a 120cm tank?

Ideally for that size tank an inline diffuser on a canister or return pump would be best.

 

If you're running a canister or sump filter then rather consider an inline diffuser or CO2 reactor. I personally use a reactor on my 180l: https://artofaqua.com/collections/co2-equipment/products/co2-reaoctor-external

Reactor best way to go, but just make sure your filter flow rate is about 4 or 5 times your total water volume. E.g, if you have a 250l tank, then the filter must at least turnover 1000l per hour. I'd recommend to rather bump it up to x 5, to accommodate the reduction in flow once the reactor is connected.

Alternatively, you can go with the largest Twinstar diffuser. I have one in my main tank and it's working perfectly fine. Just make sure the bubbles are distributed throughout the tank via means of a small wave maker or powerhead. I personally think this is the best diffuser on the market.

I'd avoid in-line diffusers...not quite effective imo.

 

I second everything you said , but disagree with the last bit. The neo diffuser is absolute golden. However, I'm not sure if they are available there
