Sick Cockatoo Cichlid?

Hi everyone

I had something strange happen to my cockatoo cichlid. Both of the cockatoo cichlids I had vanished for a day... this evening I spotted the one and was relieved to see it. Then I spotted the other one hiding between some rocks. She looked quite bad so I very easily grabbed her with the net. Her colours were all faded, her eyes were bulged, and each eye had a spot of blood in it. Anyone have any idea what this might be?
