    hey David the terror in the common name is not there dramatic effect like in green terrors
    all relative to tank size, sex of fish, and sexual maturity of fish
    festae get larger than oscars, they are more territorial, more predditory, and better equipped to bite.
    think calm flowerhorn that is not physically impaired.
    this is 3rd time i have kept them, and first time i have kept them in community. I am fully expecting them to become to territorial and quarrelsome to remain in my ray tank once they mature. but finger still crossed based on size of my tank. have found like jags they only show true agro side once they are 20cm plus or if they pair up.
    too me they are the prettiest cichlid, yet they are so rare in the hobby, all points to them sadly being a very poor community fish

    Yup I think they are also miss-understood and also lots of people are miss informed. I think they are so colorful. I am so tempted to setup a species only tank one of these days and give them a try. I have always been captivated by the colors of these fish and like you mention sadly they are so rare in hobby. Anyways let us know it goes with them.
