Any chit chat that is either fish or not fish related can go here I will get the ball rolling.: The international fuel price has stabilized, contradictory to what the government is telling us now. It's the fault of the weak rand and who's to blame for that? Those guys who strike, protest and riot. What lovely patriotism eh? Petrol price is going up again, so grab your ankles and bite the pillow people, It's coming in dry!

"Johannesburg - The petrol price is set to increase by 39 cents a litre next week Wednesday, the department of energy announced."

Saw a Banded Leporinus for sale at Loolilocks today. R 110.00. Have not seen them for sale in years.

Fantastic fish for anyone with a tank mixed with large South American cichlids. The one for sale is still small though, about 8 cm, so cichlids will need to be of a similar size initially.

    Leporinus fasciatus Seriously Fish

Ridding one also paints a big red target on your back for people who cannot drive.

Uhhh ok, I almost gassed my fish and shrimp last night in my 3 foot, why and how? Simple, I moved a couple things around and was to lazy to put the drop checker on, and with the co2 getting straight defused into my mixer its difficult to see my amount of co2 coming out, unlike a normal diffuser. It only took 20 minutes to gas them, luckily I came to my room and saw my fish upside down and gasping for air, green axelrodies, and galaxie rasboras. Sorted it out quickly with a power head and doing a water change. Lesson learned, how important is a drop checker? Its a matter of life and death.

Not true. I have a F650GS, and some people will just block you any way they can.
I also have a Scott mountain bike. And the 12km home is faster on a mountainbike than on the motorbike by far. So get a Mountainbike. Much more fun...

I noticed that it differs depending on where you ride. I ride the N1 to Sandton everyday and the vehicles tend to leave enough space and as a rule are on the lookout for bikes. The only excetion are those who drive with a phone to the ear, they are so distracte that the weave all over the road.

In Pretoria however, the bikers ride like maniacs. Even though I am on a bike myself, these guys on their scooters seriously scare me. And the they go on to complain about the way the vehicles drive...

I see. JHB drivers are better. And agree, scooters scare the poo out of me. I hit one guy on his scooter after he decided to turn into my lane, and he took the worst of it. I almost klapped him for the damage. And when I spotted the police and wanted to drag his ass to the coppers he took off like an skellem.

Ah these guys in cars who do that.. That's why i now have an axe on the side of my bike mounted above the pipe; Cut me off intentionally and i will cut your boot and tail lights up :)
I have no time for people like that. However i am a peaceful person and do not go around waving an axe like a barbarian, but i need protection against a 2ton machine when they get grumpy lol
