very much so, i couldn't think of a better way to utilize a 37l at my current skill level, easy to breed and relatively cheap.
i say relative because i paid R65 each for the blue dreams at 1cm from the same shop selling green spotted puffers for R35! man i want a puffer tank

it was a tough decision between pea puffers and a shrimp tank for the 40l, decided to go with shrimp due to skill level and food supply for the puffers(snail "problem" still in infancy)

One often sees this sort of thing (diving) with marine tanks.

Not so sure about the mermaids though

    Stunning @Kiaan26

    Thanks for sharing
This is the perfect example/proof of how tank size influences the variety of species you can keep together

So caught some small out of the tank I purchased recently. Did not even expect to see them... Soup spoon and toothpick for scale.

    I live 20km from work.
About 20% of the way, there is a school bus company. No matter what time I leave, I get stuck behind loads of them leaving the depot. Tried leaving a bit later.....didn't help. A bit earlier.....even worse.
And then I get caught behind them on my way home quite often too

Well... Here comes the 140l tub pond filter prototype.
45l tub connected via 20mm hose.driven by a 700l/h pump, thinking drip through batting to scrubbers through tray into either static Leca clay pellets or a liquided media bed.

Do you know if LECA floats or sinks?

floats, but will sink to midwater once bacterial growth forms as far as i can tell.
will be pinning it down if i do go for a static bed. probably going for a drip into a liquid media bed, will see how it pans out

I gave all my anubias a bleach bath. Moved them into a separate tank and sometime in the next week I am giving the tank a bleach cleaning. Hopefully the end of clado in that tank.

I'm giving some java moss a hydrogen peroxide bath to get rid of Spirogyra. Seems to be working well
