I currently have 3 tanks, two filled with mollies and the third (120l) I have to fill with guppies or swordtails.

I love both the guppies and the swordtails, but now I cant decide which to get.

I am considering it, but I would rather go for one of them.

Split the tank in half and you can still have both. Tough one as you obviously like both as much as the other...

I am thinking in the line of swords, but guppies are more colorful. But again, guppies are smaller so more will fit in the tank.

Which ones are the rare types? Last time I went to my LFS, they had only 4 female swords.

    Agreed on the Swords.
The deep orange is striking in any tank you have them.

Have any of you found that swords are a lot more aggressive then any other live-bearers?

I haven't experienced any aggression issues if there is only 1 male to a few females.
A dominant male can bully other males though.

I had a lot of swords at one time, never noticed that they are aggressive. But yes, the ratio of males and females should be correct. I use one male per three female (two females will also work).

So I guess this calls for another trip to the pet-store... Yayyyy.

I was actually thinking of removing the dominant male that is causing the damage. But then I am also thinking that this could just give way for one of the other males to become dominant?

In my one tank, the mollies bullied each other. I added and removes fish until the mood in the tank was in balance (2 male and 3 female mollies and one SAE at the bottom of the tank). Well, two of the females might still turn into males, as they are still small.
