Panda loaches are expensive. Dont recall the exact amount but I think it was about 1k per fish. Dont quote me on this number - may be more, may be less

    Sho!
I’ll have to be a lot more experienced with loaches to even consider that.

So it seems my repair job on the cracked base worked:thumbup:sooo relieved as I didn't want to strip the base off and replace it I had the base cut to fit snugly inside, loads of silicon and it worked!!
Went down to the river for a few bigger rocks then started thinking...big rocks means less water, means less fisho_O ... decisions decisions but yes a few big rocks are going to look good....and after all there will still be about 300 ish litres, plenty water...plenty right:rolleyes:

Yep I do think a few big rocks would be great. And you can always remove them later on if you feel you’re running out of space. They’re free after all!

Glad you got the base fixed! How long are you going to let the silicone cure for?

I touched base with my tank builder and it might be ready for collection next Wednesday. But he’s actually only planning on building it this weekend, so will only be a couple of days to cure, not 2 weeks

Also picked up some more Sekelbos driftwood this morning on the game farm, going ti do some sorting and soaking and scrubbing this afternoon, cant wait.
Let the silicon cure for about 50 hours, should be OK, just couldn't wait any longer

Ok so I started doing some scaping, I think it looks ok, might remove some rocks...not sure. Now for the plants going to harvest some vallis from other tanks to start with and then when everything is back to normal some java fern and anubias. Screenshot_20200326-052728_Gallery.jpg

Oooh I like it a lot! And the vallis (and later other plants) will work nicely. Keep the updates coming

And let me just admit that I’m insanely jealous that you got your tank up and running already
