Never in a million years... imagine you just do one thing wrong? Dead fish - money down the drain for a mere colour variant.

While we're on this topic, what's the most you've ever paid for a fish? I think the most I've paid a little over R600 for a decent sized shovelnose catfish.

Most I've paid is R100 for a Sturisoma Aureum Whiptail. Kinda struggle to justify more than R100 for a single fish?

    Cheers

Hehe! Ja, look, I would consider certain species if a bit over R100, but it'd have to be something very special!

Hehe, it may have been special, but R4500?? My wife would have disconogerated me if I spent that!!

I'm not condemning anyone who spends lots of money on a single fish by the way, just that I personally struggle to justify that much money myself. But then, I don't have 'lots of money' spare to do such with, so maybe thats why? If I was super rich, maybe things would be different? Thats probably the reason why I'm not super rich though?

    Cheers
    G!

lol - was a while back when I still hadmoney...lol - you get sick and tired of just selling beautifull koi - sometimes you just say aah, bugger the budget when presented with a fish of the quality that she was... Did sell her for R12k 3 years later though....Money well spent?

Koi is one thing - on Tropicals,i wont spend much more than R250 for a fish....

Hehe! Now, to make R7.5k (minus about R20k worth of food you probably had to feed over the 3 years) then yes, that would make it worthwhile! I'm in the unfortunate place where even if I got a fish worth R12K for R3k, I'd some how only manage to pull back R2.5k at best! Guess I'm just 'unlucky with the horses' so to speak?

As for having money left over, I'd settle for having the R1k 'spare' each month thanks! Hehe!

    Anyhows... Back to thread topic....

    G!
