Tissue culture success

    Hi all.

    I managed to successfully induce Monte Carlo (and some other plants) into tissue culture, but this is by far the most prolific species! IMG_20211102_093314.jpg IMG_20211102_094112.jpg

    Time to multiply it out ;)

    I will be replating a bunch into plastic cups soon, the first replate is going well with growth in all the pots! Should have some MC available early next year :D

    Damn Hendre, looks like you have quite a lab set-up there, very cool. Where you based in CPT? Are you using 6500k lighting? What wattage are you using? Looking forward to more species? Look out Wuhan!

    I do this at University in Stellenbosch! I have no idea what lights they are, but they're more for photoregulation as you give the plants sugar in the medium :)
