I made a microscope for less than R20 and I can zoom in 170 times. It works with an iPhone and a small lense. I will upload pics this weekend

sorry for the late reply. so here it is. it is not very fancy as this is the prototype and i am in process of printing my next model.

it works with an iphone 4 or 5 and works really well
here is a pic of the prototype:

it consists of a small lens found in those cheap laser pointers (the really cheap cr@p ones) and some perspex i had at home. this is a picture of pepper zoomed out max using the lense
