Can anyone ID this Water Lilly, bought it a while ago at the LPS and the owner said he thinks it is a Tiger Lotus.
I doubt it as they are more scarce and he let me pay only R10 for it.

Some of the leaves are pink/red in colour and have small brown dots on them.

I would also like to know how to trim this plant. I would like to keep the leaves submerged.
Should I prune the leaf shooting for the surface or does the plant need leaves on the surface to survive ?

This is in a Low-Tech tank dosing liquid carbon, micros and Potassium on a capped pfp + chemicult and mineralized soil substrate.

    Thanks :).

I have two water lilies in my tank @Good_Times but I have them in pots with potting soil. I find doing that make them grow more leaves making it bushy looking. And doesn't shoot up to the surface

Seems that Tiger Lotus takes quite a while to bloom, and the flower stalk is pushed out over the surface.
Some people suggest you leave the leaves alone, only cutting out older leaves once you have new growth.
