You need to use the "forget password" option and they will mail you a new password

Dont use your old link/shortcut, it runs on new software. Go the the site directly via your address bar and log in - save as new link/favourite...

TF happened to APSA? Seems like no one is maintaining the forum and it's chock full of spammers.

Sad indeed. I think the moderators have left the hobby and forgotten about the forum.

While I was there, it was actually a good forum…

Likewise, I only stopped going there cos I was moving to the UK and then after so long deliberately waiting (nearly 3 years), I started up another tank - 75L tank with glowlight tetras, seiyeru rocks, black sand and java ferns.

Yup, very sad what happened to it. Bulk of what I know of the hobby today is what I learnt from APSA. Still in contact with a couple of the people I met on there back in the mid 2000's. That forum is now just a ghost town

I was just searching to find APSA , I use to be a member years ago, and see why I can’t find it. Quite sad.
But even here on TASA, things are not what it use to be. It use to be very active with people responding to questions and requests. Now you ask something hundred views and no response, not even something negative, hahahaha

Yeah things are not what it used to be. That's why I stopped coming here and I've given up with APSA as I've left countless messages with the owner (I know him), so far he's done nothing and his shop website is also down so I think he's no longer involved with all of it. I think it is more of family commitments that's taking up all his free time.

Even facebook fish groups are not the same. Looks like a lot of people have downscaled since the post pandemic cost of living crisis. Best bet is to become friends with importers and big fish room people. Hopefully well see an uptick in new people when fish become trendy again.

I also suspect that 13 years ago people need people on these forum for help and guidance. Nowadays all you need to know can be watched on Youtube. Life is so weird these days, or I am just getting old

I think the whole Forum concept isn't what it used to be
Loads of forums that I was on for my various hobbies are now defunct.
    Which is a shame :(

I do think that geographically, USA based forums have the most activity at the moment

From my own experience I can say that I spend more time on WhatsApp hobby groups nowadays - namely because the response is faster, and better suited to mobile use than the Tapatalk app.

Yep, it's hard to face change, specially when we're getting comfortable in our ways. My tank is still running but I'm not much active on this forum as there's hardly any reaction to my posts or even any comments.

I think your tanks amazing and I always will think so. Ito activity on the forum, I believe we have reached a point in time where these forums are like outdated technology and the highest followed youtuber seems to be the "guru" to get your knowledge from. This is so far from truth as most of the times they just give advice using products that sponsor them and say just about anything really to get likes and follows. Maybe forums can make a comeback, but it's going to need a whole ton of realisation by the masses on just how great they are.

I should add though. It genuinely saddens me to see where we are at
