I always over-spec my pumps... Because if you logically think about it, over time your filter will get clogged up with the debris from the tank,...
NB info: Glass thicker than 6mm is imported, hence more expensive... There also seems to be a bit a flaw in the post linking to the tank...
I have three pumps in my 250l Tank 1 X 700 l/h 1 X 600 and a 1 X 400 Also have 2 internal filters 1 X 100 and 1 X 300 seems to do the job okay...
only problem i forsee is that the light in the sump will start the growth of algae in the divisions of the sump, not sure how you would resolve...
I have 2 of the dual sponge type filters in my Fry tank, breed silver-tip tetra, no issues.
