I thaught only CAE was slime suckers it seems the SAE are slime suckers as well
Gravid spot is not always 100% accurate way to tell if a platy or swordtail is pregnant if she is pregnant she will fatten up in the next 2 - 3 weeks

Thats normal, is your tank close to a window/ door whats the rooms temp where the tank is located. Is there lots of movement in the room ? Doors...

Go for as big as you can afford. I have a 4ft and it sounds big but its really not. Sorry to hear about your fishy.
Possible they need big tanks! Even as small fish it needs at least a 3ft

Nope it needs to be specified like laptops etc, strange how they dont tell you this when you take out insurance. I asked about my tanks.......
