Wait till they hit around 6 - 8cm. That is when they turn from sweet algae munchers to aggressive b@$t@rd$.... Oh...and they stop eating algae...

Sorry @Pauline - no they do not. I used this for many years in over 60 breeding tanks.... think I would have noticed it it sucked up my fry.......
And very soon your Plec is going to be 45cm + and the two Chinese algae Eaters will have harased all your other fish to death.... :(

Cherry Barbs will be no problems with the long flowing fins of a Betta btw... they are real little sweethearts...
