I do the same with powdering my foods... I take a variety of my foods and mix that up.

I think you might be referring to the spray bar... If so, a Spray bar can help a lot for reducing the current.
I had the same with my loaches in my Boyu TL-550. They had plenty of cover and hiding spots... but noooo..... they have to go in there. I bought...
I would say it is well worth it. the Dymax tube is a lot brighter and I can see more growth. Straight swop, just make sure it is also a 15W tube.
