    Not really. The ballast will set you back a few hundred but once you have this bulbs are less than R100 if I recall. I only replace every 2 years...

    Does it have to be an LED light? I am actually quite a fan of a 6500k T5 light. Bulbs are not expensive and last about 2 years. Gives a nice output
