So after the disaster I went through with the 3D background coming off, I've had to redo my tank decor from scratch. With the light substate...
Amazing tank dude....layout is incredible.
Alot of guys use pool filter sand. I was considering play sand when I was setting up my new tank, until I opened the bag and saw how fine it was.
Phone local shops in and around your area, you may have better luck.

This seems more like something that would treat a wound on a fish as apposed to disease.
I hear your point, but surely if he can afford "get off the ground" with a canister now, he's at least setup with a good filter that he wont want...
Canisters are great filters, and if you have the budget for them then I'd say its a good buy (as DC says, they aren't exactly cheap) Most have...

Thats all good, a few extra swimmers won't do any harm.....if it starts getting a little too populated I could always find a good home for them.
