I never had an issue with mine, they never even looked to jump! They were all ( had 8 ) just chilling in a shoal under there fav piece of wood....

@jpvd007 I also thought the sand was a bit much, but I went with that I read on the internet stating that planted tanks need about 3 inches / 7 cm...
