still looking if anyone else has something to sell. Found a great deal on Gumtree today, called the seller to arrange to meet and between 10AM and 2PM he went ahead and sold it. grrrrrrrrrrr
only reason I even found out was because I called to confirm our meeting time..

Happened to me as well...guys advertised a 6ft...when I came there it was actually half the size...most disturbing

 

But maybe they measured with their children's feet

 

Lol, on a side note I have been chatting to the seller who I believe has been a tank builder for over 20 years and he seems madly reasonable, im getting a final quote today and will let you know what goes down..

Hey man, maybe a little late, but maybe contact that new shop in Glenwood, Pet Professionals, I think they build tanks..

 

Hey bud, thanks for the heads up.. I am just very conscious of the mark-ups that these tank builders slap onto their products. This guy offered to build me a tank, 1800x600x600 for under R2k all in... that's a price I can live with !
I will check it out though, thanks again.

hey @neltf, Durban im afraid... the guy is moving at present so cant build anything but as soon as I can get hold of him im planning to commission a 2000x600x600 to replace my leaky 1800. cant wait !

Hey @tanked72, its so hard to tell, there is definitely a small amount of water under the tank (in the polystyrene) so its hard to tell if its leaking or if its overflow/spilled water from when im working on the tank... the water level doesn't seem to be affected greatly so I am honestly not too sure. So for now im just running the tank until I can replace it.
