This is one amazing looking tank. Not only the sheer size but the way you have set up everything inside is stunning. Loving that big trunk, even that rock with the 2 names on is a real awesome idea haha :)

Lovely big tank! (think I could fit my cottage in there!) just a small tip - the plant with the spiky tips - pic 1 on the left and pic 3 on the right - not a true aquatic I'm afraid - take it out and plant in your garden. Its called Acorus gramineus. It will slowly start to melt underwater.

    Looking good

Adding some insulation on the outside pipe is not bad advice .... at the run rate you probably have very cold water when it hits the sump.

Shout if you want more vallis ....

It's looking good! Did you get the canopy made or did you make it yourself? I am also thinking of building my own tank and stand, but a smaller one (a lot smaller).

I need some advice on lighting... I read on a few sites that some LED lights dont distribute uv/ir. Would these lights still help with plant growth?

@Francois Marais wow man, amazing tank!!! you went BIG!!! absolutely love it!!! already feeling like building a big one since im moving houses soon hehehehe!!! I noticed on the latest pictures your water is yelowish, "tea water" dont know if you actually want it to look like that, but that is because of your drift wood, i hade the same problem in my 240L tank i haded a lot of drift wood, the substances the wood releases that turns the water in to "tea Water" are great for the growth of plants and fish, but i wanted the water clear clear clear, so i had to take all the drift wood out, keep them in big water tanks and do daily water changes some times hot and cold water for about 6 weeks then i re added all the drift wood into my tank and every second week i had to remove 50% of the water and refill the tank, it has been about 5 months down the line and my water is finally fine! the wood has stoped releasing that excess!!

Best of luck man, keep us posted with pictures, a true pro tank you have there!! love the piping to the outside etc!! great job!
