really stunning tank. i think you might only be able to grow low level/ less demanding plants in the tank thou, problems will be the air stones and sump, great for the fish high oxygen but bad for plants, as the water surface is disturbed so much not going to have much luck with C02.
as for water colour, as mentioned looks like it is definately the wood, just have to wait it out with lots of water changes.

Read the last comment about the tannin in the water, if you want you can use seachem purigen as a filter media it will take it out one time shoe shine!! However as other peeps will tell you tannin has benefits! it stops algae growth and has anti bacterial properties so your fish dont get sick! there are also other benefits as well but those are the main ones i think!

I personally love purigen and it really gets the water to be crystal clear! especially as your tank is a show tank i would definitely recommend it!

however as i said i didnt read the thread so not sure on your filtration or anything!

 

if you want more info on it im sure @Seachem will provide! just a suggestion, thought i might add i actually quite like the tannin look!

ok so here goes... lost one pleco and 4 angels so far... did 30% water change on sunday...

 

That sucks man , plecos are normally tough as nails , is your system cycled completely How many fish do have in there now was it all new filter media

 

Really a stunning tank! Where did you get your large wood? And what type of wood is it?

 

I've got about 40 tetras with 3 other plecos and one angel left. I added mature media before I started adding the fish. But got some advice from Trevor1971 that i might have sickness in the tank. He said the Angels might have disease and suggesting that I add Terramycin…
