Damn sorry mate. Also waiting for that message saying things are on lockdown again. Such a dense time. As much as this is good for me in business, this really sucks being in the dark on where to from here.

I have family in Birmingham, I must actually check in on them

It sucks as we were moving out of this. But cases are going up again.
And just before Xmas. Businesses are really going to suffer :(

This whole Covid 19 is a subject that can be argued for days... everyone has different opinions and views
The bottom line is that its pretty scary how it has affected lives and the Global economy, not to mention the fact that its coming back in full force

Its not only the sick and those that have passed away but the millions that have been left unemployed or salaries cut by more than half and have families to feed...
I see they are asking for volunteers to test the vaccine in South Africa as well

From what i have seen, SA's figures compared to around the World have been fairly lower
The number of people that contracted the virus was much lower than expected, the recovery rate i think has been one of the highest in the World and our death toll has been much lower than most
But.... who knows what a second wave will bring

I think that there are hundreds of thousands of people out there that fear a second heavy lockdown more than the virus itself
We can only hope for the best and try our best to protect ourselves and hope it slowly starts subsiding and better cures are found and the vaccine works...

    That's it.
And "your" point of view will be determined by your situation & priorities

The first COVID vaccine has been given government approval. With the first people expected to receive it next week.

There will be a tiered system, with the elderly, care workers and vulnerable receiving it first

Seems like some progress is being made. Still think Covid will be around for the next year until the vaccines can get around the globe.

I think that as more and more vaccines get approved, so the process of vaccination will speed up.
The key one is the Oxford/Astra vaccine, as it doesn't need to be stored at the extreme cold temps that some of the others do.

The Astra / Oxford vaccine has been approved for use in the UK.
Hopefully they will really be able to step up the vaccination program now

You guys in CT are so far behind. We have been there for a few weeks already:D. And apparently the new strain originated from PE. Well at least first detected here.

    No vaccine is 100% effective
The Pferizer is said to be 90% effective.

A little bit of cheer for my lockdown:

Bought a custom 180l display tank from Gapedi which I'll look to set up in the new year.

    @nealos6

Why don’t you start a new thread and show the progress of your tank as you put it all together?
