Maybe just a few small pieces of driftwood at the base or back and nothing fancy, clean uncomplicated pieces.

Two of my favourites are Columbian Tetras(H.columbianus) and the true Bleeding heart(not H.socoloffii - H.erythrostigma!!!) - Sometimes difficult to find, but well worth the search....

P.S what do you mean in your 1st sentence?

Yeah @Vis --> If i remember correctly Kendalls "horror" tetra where Bueness Aires tetras that where chowing his plants...

Columbians can be a bit fin nippy to each other, but if you have a shoal of 8 - 12,i have never found them to be a problem...

lol oh yeah....those buggers! Really disappointed to what they did lol

Hmmm 60? Thats alot? For me it is anyways.

Heres my list for now, will change as i receive new suggestions.

    10 Bloodfin tetra
    10 silvertip tetra
    10 lemon tetra
    10 Rummy nose tetra
    10 Cardinal tetra
    6 Panda corries

Price on all this going to be: R510.50 (Prices from the guy i get all my stuff from)

Am i correct when i say the angels must be added 1st then 10 tetras of the same kind once a week or so?

He,he - my spelling is horrible some times...Buenos Aires tetra ...much better!

Hey Kendall - here's my list as well:

    -2 x Angels
    -8x Bleeding heart Tetras
    -12 x Emperor Tetras
    -20 x Cardinals
-6 x Three lined pencil fish
    -4 x Ancistrus dolicophterus

Angels as focus with the Bleeding h's anchoring the middle bottom... The Emperors will go pretty much all over and establish their own little territories... The Pencilfish will hang around the top inbetween that Indian water fern you got when it grows up...Cardinal Tetras zooming round as a shoal...
This may seem like a heavy stocking rate, but with 6l of water/fish,you should be more than o.k... Less species than Gerhard's list, but I think it would look way cool in that aquarium...

That is the one thing I have against Neons/Cardinals is that they do not really shoal after a while.
Although this might be different in a 20 big school?

The only tetra I have found thus far that shoals pretty much all the time is rummy noses.

    Cool addition.

Ok the reason for my more species rather than bigger schools less species is because of the behavior.
Big schools of one fish look way awesome but I like to sit and watch each type interacting with their own. The pretty much ignore all the other fish and do their thing within there school.

Or just Google, see what you like and go for it...both my list and Gerhards got some realy awesome tetras in... Stick to the one inch/gallon rule and you wont get overstocked... Know that you have kept more than a few Tetra species in the past... Think about wich level of the tank they prefer to hang out in and get some shoals that fill all 3 levels... Nice tank like that with the cool scape you created ... Can only come out as a winner!

Looking way cool there Mr.K,way cool!!!

Just remember that you will have to incorperate some driftwood in your scape if youre set on the stocking plan I suggested...Reason being is that the Bristtle Noses need to be able to rasp at some wood,it forms an integral part of their diet...
Maybe a nice piece on the right, letting the Amazon Swords grow out behind them?
