So no - do not do as I do ... these have not been QT'ed ...

    UVa-A1a45gr5UopD52X-0ef2uVNFePidUhuEbDulcc3JTT82V30w0j3B8xO2O96kf-M-eHIDaV858thLfw=w1680-h947-no.jpg

I am ignoring the algae on the glass - that way it does not bother me ... much.

Added 4 guppies - two with yellow . orrange and two half black tails. The half black tails girls are camera shy. Some are well pre-hit so no clue what they will drop if they survive.

For those that have guppies and especially with endler in the mix .. both males and females tend to get smaller as time passes. I have been adding different sourced yellow females for a while since they seem to have good size.

Today I got two of the 4 - all four are larger than my current stock.

Here she is with others I have added ..

    JeRSxBYe0iKMOLbtObjd8-I_etUgv5o8tJNKk5ziWZXMbxkc15zwlY6OAmncF_lxcrMBcZhgADe8g5mQNQ=w1680-h947-no.jpg

    kF-K0zmrjJJgz7kelKvrCDouC9iUqrVFFnkgGbwm--tXMqMPWLJSC3Ihm_5H70ocY0hjJKH-evdg1Q5vGg=w1680-h947-no.jpg

    And the other female ..
    BzOA8m1yDi0n2JJmdjk9ADKBAile_9YFbNaUU9_mG8xcnLFjYKmClTXvRlvA_LiXywDDbenZtvgFN14_tQ=w1680-h947-no.jpg

A typical female is almost 1/2 the size of the new ones.

You can fit 3 endler males along the body of these ... all I need a a single drop from each and it would be a good addition to the DNA pool I think.

It is weird .. at one point in keeping plants I grew pinnatifida like a weed ... now I am struggling to keep it going. Got my paws on some cutting so trying to not only grow it emmersed, but also in a few of the other tanks.

    FFUA3mTbwdSa805Q2XHkPinHYjpo7-cV2GhOQXEiQRgtkZlEQSAPDFdnyjHc86Et7JQG_0QQbLPad81jrwQ=w718-h405-no.jpg

Here it is just mounted on some lava rock, keen to see how this works.

as for the rest of the tanks .. slowly getting a handle on the algae, but need a few warm days to do a WC or two.

Ok - my fault I should not have had an empty bucket in the fishroom .. few quick pulls and it is now just over 1/2.

    GLI9e0GBGaT13G6AEPUR_91pPfdDQvxiEG2_obCQ3mB0sn2fqreSc0FxVeFbzMU4p21mnm8q-Vmitsw51w=w1557-h878-no.jpg

I pulled everything on the back wall that has not rooted itself to the dragon rock.

    Gf7IGUMnaQzvero_7WTC68Bvna_Oi1Pv8EGEfgarf0EWDyyFwngRggEKQw1vDBtzSkF2mo_qDkDSzqaw_Q=w1557-h878-no.jpg

so the tank is now in need of some tlc and a wc at some point. Put the HOB on to polish a bit. Amazing the amount of gunk root attract.

    Not a 100% what next ... maybe a citric acid bath ...

Guided by the video posted in the inspirations thread - this is my CO2 bell.

CO2 floats .. so for the moment it need to press against the glass cover.

4.5 hours in - just before lights out now and probably 150ml of CO2 consumed. Not going to top it up now - but rather in the morning.

Everything is looking greatjust a quick question, unless it's been asked already, how easy is it to overdose on Co2 with the inverted bottle system?

Don't think it is .. what I like about the idea ( and I have probably played with most ) it is a measured amount of CO2. I need to read up on this again, but I suspect you are going to reach some equilibrium or at the minimum a know amount of CO2 for X growth.

I have not been pumping CO2 now for a while - main reason I had no way to measure it ... now I do a bit of work sure but lets see. Early days.

All the CO dissolved over night, so starting a fresh 500ml at lights on.

Lights on for the second cycle - typically this is now on for 5 hours ..

    UFlJXifbEggt7UkdBhaEpAaKEQ3YmhmfGFB9OOrmYhmWDpYjkiKzy6yDlnhOh3RY79zuU6_QI3g5hPA-2Jw=w535-h947-no.jpg

Might not seem like it .. but think the extra CO2 is working...

    GdaUEy0rfLvy_IDVeKfPQUjU5Z3O3Swbe2-NoBnDqFbnlYKAIgvGxYLMXbwpAS3RIjzAV16burzQP-QSVw=w1680-h947-no.jpg

Seeing some really good growth (colour).

Did CO2 the entire week but skipped Friday - wanted to do a WC last night but ja.

Just finished the WC and added a second bottle - 550ml
    asX0VrL_UOABu67C9ZKCV9V49OV3_NcjMtQEhLQLggkLA_FPsgIcC6CR7-tSoeFbYoTSZyRzNaurhkSZbw=w1680-h947-no.jpg
so now the idea is to see can I still dissolve 550 + 500 in one day - 500 typically is at around 80% empty in a 14 hours cycle if filled at lights on.

hmm - might be getting slightly more CO2 into the tank

    HtXf6q_QIR1qITvv_siAjDu_WDEkdupLza7iYGOoza672CiRfTFQGIpgybJMRFTUYZCkPzB-l5HbISMjlw=w1680-h947-no.jpg

12 hours later with lights off and I already see ++500ml of CO2 dissolved. So ability to diffuse more into the tank is not a limiting factor yet.

Glad you tagging along, not sure if the CO2 consumption yesterday was because of the WC or because I had two bottles going. Probably sitting at 250ml CO2 8 hours into the cycle ... at the moment. Going to be interesting to see what happens this week.

Something proper about bubbling CO2 into a container and seeing it vanish, not being wasteful comes to mind ...

My previous hook and CO2 delivery plumping had some issues - biggest it was just to short and thick to reach easily under the container.

    WnaOv2YOsdCa805KamMsT2zTti-J9XR88l6XsqqV0VK-BQwYmyTF8X63AGLNyPf0PHkGSCFm7wNj_OXbAyQ=w501-h888-no.jpg

A quick DIY and this works way better. Straw, aluminium rod and the CO2 line.

The straw CO2 wand works way better. As for the amount of CO2 ... 3 hours after lights out and I have another 200ml to go before empty. This is be totally diffused in 6 hours time ( or a bit sooner - so with this config I am really close to continuously feeding some CO2 into the system.
