3ft/120L Discus Tank?

    that would be 150L per fish.. thats plenty
    i believe you can go quite tall with discus tanks but you should check the surface are for oxygenation...

    ok at 4 fish, that would still be 75L per fish... that sounds good too

    Hmm, well the tank is going to be heavily planted with moss and mixed amazon plants.

    It's going to take me a while to scape.

    the plants will do much for helping with filtration and oxygenation... do discus eat plants at all?

    Hi guys. To be really honest, you will fimd plants in a Discus tank is quite difficult. Few plants can handle the temperature and soft water. Regards, Marco

    Thinking about just adding java ferns and moss then . . . .I haven't seen plants that can handle 30 degrees or more and most keepers use java fern in their Discus setups.

    Don't know what's available at Northlands....

    Java / Lace Ferns
    Java moss
    Dwarf Lily
    Crypts
    Vals
    Anubias
    Echinodorus

    When you say Echinodorus . . .you mean all types?
