    Hey I'm looking for a large pair of algae eaters for my dads fish pond. Early fathers day present Between 20 - 30cm

    hey hopefully some of the members will have extra pleco for sale, i my self just got a 25cm long fin pleco for R250 at my LPS. did a trade on some of my small cichlids. good luck

    have a couple of LPS in jhb with that size plecos at good prices.

    A pond, is it going to be heated at least.
    They wont last the winter outside..

    I knew a guy that kept Koi and plec's in his pond in dbn, they lived quite happily in the unheated pool

    Yup quite warm deeper parts of the pond is cooler otherwise between 23 - 26 deg in winter

    If the minimum temp is 23C a pleco would be fine.


    I have one but I'm trading him for some guppys as he poops to much in my tanks.
    Its not the bio-load that bothers me its the poo strings.
