Don't think it's ethical to mention the stores name here, but I can tell you its in durban.

They were as wide as their length.

Did some research after that visit and found out they are definitely not suited for a home aquarium. If you are attracted to figure 8 puffers, you should see the Mbu puffers.

They were only going for R160 if I remember correctly.

"These fish are fascinating to watch, they have cartoon like faces and often blink and yawn. Tetraodotoxin is the toxin present in these species of fish and is responsible for the deaths of substantial amount of sushi eaters!! Specially trained Fugu Sushi chefs are trained to remove the poison."

    great

Have just read that they're fairly aggressive, even towards their own kind... would this include the females? If not, then maybe I'll get 2 females as they look prettier than the males do.

Otherwise I'll be happy with just one... doesn't matter if its male or female :D lol sorry for the confusion.

Is that even possible? What's wrong with everyone - puffers, especially these ones, are absolutely awesome. They have huge personalities and this particular puffer requires very little tank space - come on guys/gals, you don't know what you're missing - seriously :blink1::bigsmile:

What are the prices of the puffers?
I would be interested in a few of them if they would be able to go into a 100lt tank?

They can get agro in a community tank and do a LOT of damage for their size.
