I think they are bloody marvellous.
See, what I meant by , they look like some online pics, but in certain ways NICER.
For instance, as your males' Dorsal Primary rays lengthen... yeah , then You can safely say your INKA are real...:blink1:

An idea is , that you can also try to SWOP females, and see what ahappens, Or hold 2nd female elsewhere, away from other INKA, and see what happens with 1st female and 2nd Male...Ideally after First pair spawns, has fry a bit grown on, say 2-3weeks old.

Not to say, clear, divider idea won't work. I use a variation on that theme at times, I have these clear, acrylic containers, about 5-8L..and place fish in them INSIDE their Tank.

Anyway, the female has been doing her shimmy, at the male, and scooting into her coconut cave quite a lot today!!!! So I am hoping!! Been feeding them loads of Fresh Baby Brine Shrimp, and the Professors flake foods. They have bulked up very nicely. Looking good and healthy. The female has fattened quite nicely, so I am really hoping that some breeding activity happens soon.

I love these fish. Seriously love them.

Feed them some of the Sealife Proactive granulate No2 as well, as this has a very good protein balance which is superlative to stimulating dwarfs to breed.

sean my cameras like stone age dude.i will leave the pics to u and hopefully we both come up with some babies,got my ph @6.5 temp @ 26/27 got both pair in separate 2 foot tanks with leaf litter and a couple plants ,like you i have one pair seems promising and the other, the male is bulling the female,i should have another tank operating by the end of the of the week to separate her. @Dirk Bellstedt the proactive granules are really being taken with enthusiasm by my fish,it does remind me of a good curry powder tho:bigsmile: its kzn even the fish like it hot

So i think I may have some spawning behavior from the dominant Inka pair!!! The female is flicking nicely at the male, and he is also starting to do the same!! So holding thumbs!!

 

So @Sean J whats the progress dude ? any action in your pairs?

 

Can't find the female... Hoping for good news.

 

Be patient, that is the essence of a good fish breeder....
