Perfect! thats pretty much what I had in mind as far as costs are concerned! i'm going to be linking 3 fans in parallell so that should provide enough air movement.

Does anyone know if and where i can get a switch that is activated by voltage drop. ie: the type they use to kick in generators when the power goes out. I'm thinking about linking the fans to my heater which has a digitally controlled thermostat, so that the fans kick in when the heater cuts out, and turn off when the heater comes back on thereby maintaining a constant temp?

lot of effort.. i would rather let the fans be on the entire time during the day or even the entire time during summer.. if it gets too cold, the heater can kick in as fail safe.. but if your switch isnt working it may be disastrous..

    just a suggestion
