Automatic fish feeders?

Depends on what you see as large. But yes the opening can be set. With larger type of food the limit is more the container size ultimately that might need to be refilled if you are away for an extended time. But then again I will not leave a autofeeder unattended for more than a couple of days (3 or so). Anything can still go wrong. My eheim once froze, like a computer will freeze. It is still an electronic gadget. So as long as you understand the risks and take that in consideration it is fine. I still recommend to get somebody to check on your tank at least every couple of days when you are away. The risk of equipment failure is always there whether it is a heater, filter or autofeeder.

Yes, it will take those. It has a spiral feeding system. As long as the food will fit into there, it will be fine. So I don't think you'll have any issues using it.

 

The normal one works a bit different - no spiral feeding system but it will also take big pellets. Have not tested how effective it will work on that size pellets yet.
