After the longest time i have put together a planted tank.

    Tank specs:
    Boyu 418 - 37l
Lighting - 2X 11w (one that came with the tank and one that i have added (to be increased when i can find another balast))
Filtration - standard boyu stuff that came with the tank
Substrate - Seachem Flourite Black Sand
Ferts - Seachem flourish, flourish excel and flourish iron
CO2 - disposible CO2 can thing and of course the excel
Plants - have yet to try and ID any of them (work keeping me very busy and i have a very different plan for this tank when i can get nano suitable plants)
Fish - A pair of blue rams (I'm looking to have a pair of dario dario and a handful of galaxy rasboras)

That's looking really good! How did you get your Rams to pose like that :p

You should enter it into the tank of the month competition.

Your tank looks stunning, well done, I have the same tank, very keen to do a planted tank as its empty at present. I've been doing some research but feel a bit nervous so have put off getting started.

Very nice. Not sure (could just be the pics) but it looks like you have planted your Anubias into the substrate. They should be tied onto something (rocks, wood, decorations etc) or the plants rhizome/roots will rot as far as I'm aware...

Thank you all, @MarcHawke it is attached to the wood, sometimes the roots will grow into the substrate, as long as the rhizome isnt covered they will be ok.

I do not that that that is anubias nana. Looks more like normal anubias barteri. anubias nana is much smaller... and rarer....

You are thinking of Anubias sp. ‘Petite’

Thank you @Deem , @cheekychops I have 2 types of Anubis in my tank, one has leaves about an inch long and the other has leaves less than 20mm, pretty sure the smaller one is nana but not nana sp. 'Petite' (would like some if anyone has)

Just ordered the following plants for my tank - Rotala rotundifolia, Ludwigia arcuata, Rotala colorata, Rotala wallichii, Staurogyne repens and Hemianthus micranthemoides should fill my tank nicely

yes i am thinking of the petite version. still not sure about the larger leaf being the nana version.
guess we will have to wait a few months and see if the new leaves grow larger.

Update on the Ram eggs, just had a look in my tank and there are 40 - 50 eggs that have hatched into wrigglers
