jc16 i use the cichlid buffer recipe to raise my Ph to over 8... tap water in mitchells palin is 7.6. yours are fairly low out of the tap. i have crushed coral and limestone in my tank but thats not enough the get my ph over 8. limestone i get from a nearby beach, you could try your beaches.

Thanks for this recipe, the crushed coral and live rock is doing the job quiet nicely in the tempory tanks, im busy setting put seprate tanks for each of my fav fish... once they all in their own tanks if the need comes ill defently use this recipe... my ph is 8.0 and i'll be adding more live rock over the next few day's, only used 3 rocks to get ph to 8.0
