Its quite funny theyre not shy they swim up against the glass when ever you go near the tank but they just dont stop moving . Over excited I guess

Well ill just post anyway . So I know some wild bettas in a heavy planted tank decent size can produce and offspring can grow . So I was wondering why not try the same thing with your bettas . I know to some breeders it may sound like really dum idea but could it work any possibility.

If there is enough hiding space some fry might servive. I had 3 in my moss tank at one stage.

There would definitely be low survival rate but if you perhaps designed the tank in a certain way you could predict a spawning spot secluded and hidden

Ja Bud, it was through Marco that I tried. It was just too expensive and I think the Betta would bore the crap out of him because they grow so slowly in comparison to the Rams.

Well , all my spawns happen in a 1ft Aquarium , that`s heavily planted. The thing is , Prolific males generally are also extremely aggressive and will attack the female If she comes too close to the nest. Having said that , I have before had spawns where I`ve left the female with the male , and grown juveniles together to almost adulthood without a problem. It only take 1 Male to fire up though , and then the proverbial fit its the shan.
