Does he have any fishy company, ...could you not get him a temporary mate and see what happens ? Who knows the physiological side effects of living a life of solitude between glass..

I could take a chance and try and loose both fish if prof Dirk is right I have gone for a 2nd and 3rd opinion and they all point to the same thing though. So I am afraid to risk another fish to see if I am right or wrong.

this fish is with you from small,
he is the only one in the tank,
You dont have any live plants in the tanks right,
So then the fish must have had the parasite from the day you bought it?
Parasites are introduced via new fish or plants.
dont give up on your fish.
Isnt their someone on TASA that stays in your area that is up to this challange?

    Here's a long shot.

Maybe someone in the flat below you, or next door, got one of those plug-in insect and rodent repellent doohickeys that send high frequency pulses through the wiring system. I've seen them advertised on TV and although they're supposed to be "pet friendly" I've always thought that they would affect pets like fish and hamsters.

I even thought about that Noodle but the apartments are too far from each other with lots of wall. And each of them run on their own circuit so I dont think it would be that.

But on the off chance that it might be I will visit them tomorrow and ask them if they are running something like that in their apartment.

    Thanks.
