Black Paint

    Hi guys

    Just a quick question, what is a good paint to use as a background? I want to paint the back :)

    Kinda wanna paint the back today, any1??? think im just gonna get normal enamol?

    get a matt black spray paint and spray the back, i did it to my 4ft last week and it looks good, even if I say so myself.

    you can also use the enamel black paint. but spraypaint would be easier.

    PLOFIT aerosol paint, but I am sure any make would work.

    Hi @wrenchy, I used Engine black on my tank. Looks great and will definitely not crack. Can withstand heat etc. HTH

    I usually use normal roof paint, takes about 5 or 6 layers with one of those small sponge rollers and it can be removed should you wish to do so

    @Slo,o.00 just used the spray paint haha didnt even think about the heat thing i hope it still works :O

    Used charcoal grey roof paint on mine, looks good. The roof paint is water based and more enviromentally friendly than the aerosol or enamel. Takes 3 or 4 coats to cover nicely though.

    Get a roll of black vinyl from Builders or any signage place. No mess, no fuss.

    I also used black vinyl, definately the way to go!

    I used enamel on mine. 4 thin coats with a sponge roller and it looks good, even if I must say so myself..:wink:
