Blind clown!

    How long have you been keeping tropical fishes? 4years
    How long has the tank been running before you added fish/this fish? Cycled,1.5 years ago
    What fish do you have in your Tcycledank (type, number and size)?6clown loaches,13cm-20cm,3 smaller clowns,5-8cm,1 black ghost knife,18cm, 2 fire eels,38-43cm,3 L201,5-6cm,1 Bn-10cm, 6sterbi cory,3-5cm,3 three lined cory,3-4cm, 1 banjo cat,10cm,2 scavanger loaches,4-6cm,2 khuli loaches,7cm,1 butterfly pleco,3cm,1 vitata pleco,7cm,1 highfin loach,22cm,2 x-ray tetras,2cm,2 neon tetras,2cm,1 siamese algea eater,5cm.
    When did you last buy any new fish?8months ago
    Which food are you feeding and how often do you feed? Eartworms-once a week,Sera vipachips,bottom feeder tablets from pro' Choice, floating pellets from water zoo.


    Disease
    Describe the problem that the fish is having (behaviour, breathing, excretion (droppings), food intake, colour)? Both eyes seem to be white,fish can't see through.
    Is the fish eating?yes
    Has the problem occurred before?:No
    Have you treated the problem and how? No,just 'normal' salt dose
    Have you had any other problems in the past?mom used hair spray close to tank and one of clowns died,2months ago
    What were they?
    Did you treat for these problems?
    How?40% waterchange and lotsa oxygen.

    What type of filter do you run?2 x canister filters and 2 internal sponge filters
    What is IN the filter? Flos,ceramics and peat
    How many litres per hour is the filter rated for?canisters-1200L/H each, internal-1000L/H
    How often do you clean your tank?every two to three weeks, internal filters once a week,canisters 3-4 months
    How do you clean your tank?syphon
    How much water do you take out for Water change?100-200liters depends how dirty syphoned water is.
    Do you prepare your water for water changes?yes How and what do you add? Add seachem Prime and let water warm up to room temp.
    What water do you ouse. (Tap, bore hole, RO)? Borehole
    What substrate do you have? Palm fibre peat toped with pool filter sand.
    What else is in the tank (Rocks, plants, fake plants, shells, anything else)? Wood,1 fake plant,few river pebles and rocks,bought at pet shop.

    Describe the water (smell and colour)?warm aquqrium smell, tea coloured water.
    Temperature of the water?24'C
    General hardness (GH)?
    Carbonate hardness (KH)?
    Ammonia:0
    Nitrite (No2-)?0

    pH?6.5-7
    How did you test these? Have you checked the expiry date on the test kits?sera testers.don't see exp. Dates

    Lights
    What light do you have?1 4ft pienk light
    How long is the light on for?6-8hours a day
    Do you have lots of plants in the tank (real or fake)?no. Few Anubus
    How do you fertilize the plants?dont

    If possible, can you post some pictures of
    (1) The sick fish,keeps to logs
    (2) A close up of the sick fish, and/or effected area
    (3) the full tank.

    Could still be a delayed reaction to the "Hairspray" incidents...but Im thinking it could be a nitrate issue..... Have then tested...and improve the frequency of your waterchanges - Botadine loaches quite sensitive to metabolic waste buildup in your tank....

    Thanks azurekoi. Will increase time inbetween water changes. Not nice seing one of my baby's not happy.

    er @Rob.. i think what @azurekoi is saying is do water changes more often. not less frequently.
