Oh NO really you couldn't have thought hey lets be cool and take some photos on your own hahaha :) I will definitely do that yes out of experience I remember how quickly filter floss needs replacement. in my previous tanks the filter floss in conjunction with the seachem purigen polished the water so much that at times it did not look like there was water in the tank :)

Here is a pic of the 1200, with the ceramic rings in the bottom portion of the tank.
Remember that the canister, when filled with water, weighs over 20kg.

The 1500 is quite a bit taller, with 1 extra tray for media.

Why are the ceramic at the bottom?
your spunges shoue be , flows from bottom up - now all your ceramic catches the gunk

The canister is filled from the bottom up:
    1. Ceramic rings in the vortex space under the trays.
    2. Course and fine sponge in tray 1.
    3. Matrix in Tray 2 & 3.
    4. Filter floss and Purigen in Tray 4.

The ceramics catch most of the gunk, making it easier to clean out the filter.
It also provides a hiding place for any fry that may be sucked in.
Water flow is slowed slightly as it moves up through the various filter trays, making for better filtration.
